复旦大学经济学副教授程远
Cheng Yuan (male), born 1973, is associate professor of economics, Fudan University (Social Policy Department.) since 2004, and previously at Population Research Institute,since 2008 Research Fellow (part time) at CPPPG, National Social Science Innovation Centre for Public Policy and Public Management, Fudan University.
He is Bachelor in law in 1995 (Jilin), Master in economics in 1998 (Fudan), Master in science in 2003 (Oslo) and Ph.D. in 2004 (Fudan) in economics. Thesis title: Economics Analysis of China Rural Area Environmental Protection.
Cheng has worked with scientists in a number of fields (demography, sociology, economics, ecology and public health). During the last 5 years, most of his applied work has been concerned with estimating the health effect due to climate change, and with the problem of uncertainty in long term population as well as household structure change. Cheng has taught economics and statistics to students of economics, public policy and sociology at all levels. Cheng has been serving on academic degree committees at SSDPP.
