    Mr Nick Yang is the Co-founder of KongZhong, a company focusing on wireless value added services, such as ringtones, mobile content, games, and community. Since its establishment in May 2002, KongZhong has grown to become a leading firm in the industry for its high user number and revenue and was listed on NASDAQ by July 2004. It set the record for companies in China with listings in overseas exchanges. Born in 1975, he became the youngest President of a listed company in the US stock exchange at age 29.

    Prior to founding KhongZhong, Mr Yang was Chief Technology Officer for Sohu.com for one and half years where he was responsible for its technology transformation.

    Mr Yang first discovered his entrepreneurial spirit while he was in Stamford when he founded ChinaRen.com, a community site, with two classmates in 1998. To fund his business, he raised angel investments from his classmates and venture capital from Goldman Sachs, Partnership fund of KKR, and Joho capital. By May 2000, ChinaRen.com became the fourth most popular website in China with US$15 million of venture investments after only a year and a half since its operations. In September of the same year, ChinaRen.com was sold to Sohu.com (NASDAQ:SOHU) for US$35 million.

    The China Leading Young Angel Investor Association was founded by Mr Yang in January 2013. With more than 100 members, the Association is currently the most active and influential angel investment organization in China. Among its members are some of the most distinguished angel investors in China today. Mr Yang was the first president of the group.

    Shortly before he found the Association, Mr Yang started Lebox Capital in November 2012, an angel investment fund which focuses on funding early stage entrepreneurs in high growth industries such as TMT and Consumer products.

    Mr Yang graduated from the University of Michigan with BSEE in 1997 and with MSEE from Stanford University in 1999.
