    刘勇博士，现任国务院发展研究中心发展战略和区域经济研究部/研究室主任、研究员。北京师范大学环境科学研究所硕士，中国人民大学区域经济研究所博士，中科院地理研究所博士后，研究员职称，美国哈佛大学肯尼迪学院访问学者。2009年获选为连瀛洲纪念奖学金中国学者。

    刘博士多次参与国家经济社会发展规划项目研究，参与中国区域发展战略和城镇化发展战略研究，并发表和出版过众多文章和书籍，例如：《河北霸州产业结构调整和布局优化战略研究》；《中国城镇群发展战略研究》；《新加坡发展经验与中国的改革开放》；《地区发展与地区主导产业》等。

    Dr. Liu Yong is Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Development Strategy & Regional Economy, Development Research Centre of the State Council, China. He holds a master degree from Environmental Science Research Institute, Beijing Normal University; doctorate from Regional Economic Research Institute, Renmin University of China and a post-doctorate from Institute of Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a visiting scholar at KHS at Harvard University. He is a China Fellow of the 2009 Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship Programme.

    Dr. Liu has participated in numerous research projects on national economy and society development, as well as strategic research on regional development strategies and urbanisation development in China. He has published many articles and books such as The Adjustment of Industrial Structure and Strategic Research on Layout Optimization in Bazhou, Hebei Province; Strategic Research on the Development of Cities and Towns in China; Singapore’ Experience in Development & China’s Reform and Opening and the book entitled “Regional Development & Regional Leading Industry”.
