    高国力博士，现任国家发改委国土开发与地区经济研究所副所长、研究员，中国人民大学、上海大学兼职教授，中国区域经济学会常务理事、中国区域科学协会常务理事。他曾挂职江西省九江市人民政府副秘书长，现为多个市县的经济顾问和咨询专家。2013年获选为连瀛洲纪念奖学金中国学者。

    高博士参加和主持数十项国家、各部委、地方各级政府委托的重大课题和项目。他曾多次参与中办、国办、国务院、国家发改委等部门和领导的重要文件和讲话起草工作。他先后出版过多部著作，并在许多国内外刊物上公开发表论文数十篇。目前他是国内区域经济理论和政策、区域和城镇规划、特区和开发区发展、县域经济等领域具有较大影响的专家。

    Dr. Gao Guoli is a senior researcher and deputy director of the Institute of Spatial Planning & Regional Economy, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), adjunct professor at the Renmin University of China and Shanghai University, Executive Director of China Regional Economy Society; and is an economic consultant for many counties in China. He is a China Fellow of the 2013 Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship Programme.

    Dr. Gao has led or participated in over 50 research projects supported by the State Council Office, NDRC, Ministry of Science and Technology, and various level local governments. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Gao has published more than five academic books and 100 articles on regional policy, urban planning, industrial parks, resource and environmental protection and other related research fields. In recent years, his research interests mainly focus on new-type urbanisation, special economic zones, industrial parks, ecological protection areas, and newly-emerging main function area planning and policy in China.
