    Dr. Lei Yao is the director and research associate of General Policy Researching office at the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) Financial Research Institute. From 1992 - 2002 he studied at Tsinghua University in the School of Economics and Management, receiving a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree.

    Previously, Dr. Lei was a deputy researcher in the Shanghai headquarters in the Open Market Operations Department and a deputy director of market research at the People's Bank Financial Research Bureau. He was also in the People’s Bank’s representative offices in the U.S. (New York) to work with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and he was a visitng scholar at the Finnish Central Bank. During his time with the People’s Bank, Dr. Lei has participated in the financial support aspect of regional socio-economic development, rural financial reform, local financial management mechanisms, and a large number of micro-financial supervision in areas such as research and policy development.

    Additionally, Dr. Lei has published the monographs “Subprime crisis”; “Global Interest Rate Market Experience”; and “The Internet Era: Pursuing New Starts in Finance.” He also participated in the German and British inter-governmental cooperation projects “Asset Prices and Monetary Policy Relations,” “Market Research on High-Yield Corporate Bonds and Credit Derivatives,” “Internet Finance,” and several others.

    雷曜，1974年出生，中国人民银行金融研究所综合政策研究室主任，副研究员。1992年-2002年在清华大学经济管理学院学习，获学士、硕士 、博士学位。曾任人民银行上海总部公开市场操作部副调研员、人民银行研究局金融市场研究处副处长。曾在人民银行驻美洲代表处（美国纽约）工作，在香港金融管理局和芬兰中央银行短期访学。在人民银行期间，参与了金融支持区域社会经济发展、农村金融改革、地方金融管理机制、微型金融监管等领域大量专题调查研究和政策制订工作。出版专著《次贷危机》、《利率市场化的全球经验》、《互联网时代：追寻金融的新起点》，参加中德、中英政府间合作项目《资产价格与货币政策关系》、《高收益公司债及信用衍生品市场发展研究》、《互联网金融》等。
